I understand, I'm almost 100% sure of it but you're right, Ubisoft needs to confirm it first. Also D. Cello posted some spoilers on his blog and one of them said that you can leave the memories and go back to the Animus island which is where the picture is and speak with Subject 16, nobody else is there and considering he wears the same cloths as the one in the Encyclopedia I would find it a massive coinsidence if it weren't him.
