It does not affect the wiki itself in any way, I see no reason for a vote. Plus, other contributors are aware, and besides from yours, I have heard no other objections to what I am doing.

And I'm quite aware we're not a newspaper or book. I don't recall having said we were. I just used it as an example for other media.
