			Bumping this with a new take. Given the amount of times this has appeared, would it makes since to treat it as a type of sword rather than a specific one? 	I find it very funny that Altaïr's sword in AC 2 is actually the 3rd last sword Altaïr is rewarded with in AC 1. The 2nd last sword he gets is the same sword only that the handle is of a blank metal and not brown wood. The last and best sword Altaïr gets in AC 1 is the "Old Syrian Sword" one of the first you can buy in AC2. 	This is a thought being posted way late, but am I the only one who thinks that AC2 should have had Altair's second short blade as the reward for unlocking Altair's armor? Sure his sword has great stats in AC2, but I spent a lot of time in the original Assassin's Creed looking at that short blade (what my bro and I have come to call "the Elven blade"). 	How would The Sword of Altair still be in mint condition, though there is a 400 year gap between AC1 and AC2, it would be rusted and bent from Altairs use of it, not to metion his children, and so on. So mabye it's a copy or something? 	I was thinkin about the fact that the Syrian blade is the last blade you get, and the fact that Altair's sword is the strongest in AC2 and i came to this conclusion: Since Altair made his armor out of special metal (if i recall correctly the apple led him to an asteroid that contained the metal and consequently told him how to use the raw metal to make materials), is it possible that he simply reforged the original Altair's blade into one that was stronger. I mean, the Altair's blade in AC2 is totally lighter (color wise) than Altair's sword in AC1. It would also make sense of the fact that while the Syrian sword degraded with time (indeed, being called the "old" Syrian blade in AC2), while Altair's sword seemed to be in as good condition as ever. Besides that, i would assume that Altair had a thing for the Eagle theme of the blade considering how prevalent eagles are to him and apparently his ancestors too. Anyway just a theory im just toying around on the wiki waiting for my copy of AC Brotherhood to FINALLY reach my GODDAMNED mailbox. 			I have a version. If Altair died in his bed, sword could be blunt for many years (because of simple situation when oldman around 70-90 yo do not kill personally, just issue orders like Al Mutalim). Or on the conrary if Altair was a glib old fogy and died in battle, he could blunt his weapon on the last killed enemies (funny picture, just imagine, crooked Altair jumps around and groans, and complains about his old sick bones). In both cases I doubt someone of his younger apprentices would ever dare to take mentor's equipment for himself (rather then secure it like some sort of an order's relic, which was later hidden in Monterrigiony and finally claimed by Ezio).
