During the Byzantine Empire, Greek and Roman identities were merged. If a distinction has to be made, they were politically Roman, with perhaps a Roman identity pervading throughout the empire, but the core of the Byzantine Empire was indisputably Greek. Greek people saw the Byzantine Empire as an indigenous rule. 			::::::::As far as I know, the Greece category is for anything related to Greece, which is entirely fine, and we don't need to overcomplicate it. During the Byzantine Empire, Greek and Roman identities were merged. If a distinction has to be made, they were politically Roman, with perhaps a Roman identity pervading throughout the empire, but the core of the Byzantine Empire was indisputably Greek. Greek people saw the Byzantine Empire as an indigenous rule.
