Surprised, Eivor saw that Cynon framed her and wanted his daughter to grow up safe and sound. However, within their discussion, Eivor let Cynon know that Tewdwr renounced his earlier statements of a sole Christian way. Eivor stated that Tewdwr would be a leader to both Christians and pagans of his shire. Realizing his plan worked, excluding the attempted murder, Cynon told Eivor that Modron has Tewdwr in her forest temple at [[Aelfwood]]. After hearing Cynon's information, Eivor decided Cynon's fate and left the church to save Tewdwr.<ref name="ALoveBetrayed"/>
