Sometime later, Solon met the [[Sparta]]n ''[[Mercenary|misthios]]'' [[Kassandra]] as she came to the quarry to investigate what had happened to the Thasian athletes, namely [[Neleus]], the nephew of [[Barnabas]], the captain of Kassandra's [[ship]] ''[[Adrestia]]''. Solon told Kassandra of the doctor, who hadn't been seen for a while, and whose absence made the workers sick, as only the doctor could give them the '[[medicine]]'.<ref name="Doctor's Pet" />

However, the people behind the athletes' predicament learned that Kassandra was after them, and decided to end their Thasian experiment. They stormed the quarry and killed all the people they encountered, including Solon, before Kassandra could stop them.
