A pretend connoissuer, So Sachihiko worked as a spy for Yasuhira, one of Kimura Yukari's three ''[[wikt:大将|taishō]]'' (大将, lit. "general").<ref name="All That We Leave Behind">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]] – [[Claws of Awaji]]'' – [[All That We Leave Behind]]</ref> In 1585, after Yukari's demise at [[Iwaya Castle]],<ref name="The Final Assault">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]] – [[Claws of Awaji]]'' – [[The Final Assault]]</ref> Sachihiko wrote a note detailing how he had been nearly killed by [[Chiba Hachibei|two]] [[Suganuma Tenma|of]] [[Nowaki]]'s ''[[Ninja|shinobi]]'' near [[Kannoji Temple]] and [[Nitta Koheiji|three]] [[Ishida Shota|more]] ''[[Inoue Yonekichi|shinobi]]'' on the [[Trail of Eshima]]. He also accused fellow spy [[Ryuzoji Den]] of betraying their master Yasuhira, and vowed to make her pay.<ref name="All That We Leave Behind"/>
