			On Diocles' request, the Medjay Bayek found the drunken Simonides at the tavern and carried him to safety back to Diocles' home. The two learned of Simonides' findings of corruption in Leander's villa, which Bayek agreed to recover to expose Leander to the rest of the magistrates of Cyrene. Once Simonides was sober, he joined Diocles and the rest of the magistrates at the [[Apollonion of Cyrene]], including Leander himself who arrived with [[soldier]]s of the [[Rome\|Roman]] proconsul [[Flavius Metellus]].<ref name="Absolute Power" />

			Once Bayek had arrived with Leander's ledger of corruption, the magistrate attempted to eliminate Simonides and the rest of the magistrates to cover up his crimes. However, Leander and his men were defeated by Bayek and Diocles, saving Simonides' and the magistrates lives.<ref name="Absolute Power" />
