The '''Siege on Kaminogō Castle''' took place at [[Kaminogō Castle]], [[Japan]] in 1562 during the late [[Sengoku period]]. It was fought between the {{Wiki|Matsudaira clan}} led by ''[[daimyō]]'' [[Tokugawa Ieyasu|Matsudaira Motoyasu]] and the [[Imagawa clan]]. The former was aided by both [[Hattori Yasunaga]], who led his faction, while his son and ''[[Ninja|shinobi]]'' [[Hattori Hanzō]] was secretly tasked with the rescue of Motoyasu's family. The latter was reinforced by the {{Wiki|ja:鵜殿氏|Udono clan}}, led by its member and Imagawa retainer [[Udono Nagateru]].

The battle ended with the Matsudaira clan being victorious, taking control of the castle and expanding their influence over Mikawa. Hanzō also successfully rescued Motoyasu's family from the grasp of Nagateru and the [[Jesuits|Jesuit]] [[priest]] and [[Templars|Templar]] [[Paulino Massa]], who worked covertly aiding the Imagawa clan's attempted resurgence.

In 1561, [[Imagawa Ujizane]] joined the [[Templars|Templar Order]] after being recruited by [[Jesuits|Jesuit]] [[priest]] [[Paulino Massa]], who aided in his attempt to resurge his clan's standing. With his family gone for nearly a year, Motoyasu assembled his army and planned to attack the Imagawa clan at Kaminogō Castle. While fighting, he had his men lay fire onto the castle. Meanwhile, within the ''tenshu'', Udono had Sena and the kids guarded until Hanzō arrived and nearly killed him. However, Paulino Massa saved Nagateru while he introduced himself. When Nagateru insulted him for his presence, Massa responded by outright killing him before setting his gun towards Sena. With the siege raging on, Hanzō escaped with the children while Massa left the castle with Sena. Hanzō managed to secure the kids' safety before turning back to save Sena. At a watchtower, Massa and Sena watched as the battle was ending before he revealed to use her to sway Takechiyo to his side.
