Fortunately, Padiaset was rescued by Bayek,<ref name="Sobek's Jaws"/> and later deduced that his old friend was the one leading the cult of Sobek.<ref name="Bad Faith"/>

			Furious, Padiaset attempted to confront Sehetep at the Temple of Sobek, only to be beset by his guards. The priest managed to defend himself and, upon the arrival of Bayek, notified the Medjay of his discovery. Although Padiaset volunteered to kill Sehetep himself, Bayek insisted that he deal with the corrupt priest, as one priest killing another would be very unseemly. Infiltrating the temple, he found Sehetep questioning his soldiers about the identity of the Medjay sabotaging their operations, and assassinated him.<ref name="Bad Faith"/>
