'''Rued's clan''' was a clan of [[Vikings]] led by the ''[[jarl]]'' [[Rued]]. Originating from {{Wiki|Götaland|Geatland}} in what is now [[Sweden]], the clan migrated to [[England]] during the period of [[Viking expansion|Viking incursions]] into [[Great Britain]] during the 9th century.

The clan settled in the lands of [[East Anglia]], and launched raids and attacks against the [[Anglo-Saxons]] and the [[Norse people|Norse]] alike, leaving paths of destruction in their wake.

Rued's clan originated from {{Wiki|Götaland|Geatland}} which, like other regions in [[Scandinavia]], were consisted of numerous petty kingdoms.<ref name="Uninvited Guests">''[[Assassin's Creed: Valhalla]]'' – [[Uninvited Guests]]</ref> At some point in the 860s, Rued married the [[shieldmaiden]] [[Valdis]], who was a cousin of [[Halfdan Ragnarsson]], suggesting a possible tie between both clans. However, the marriage fell apart and Valdis fled to England with her brothers [[Broder]] and [[Brothir]] to escape from Rued.
