In 1510, the ''Qutaybah'' transported the [[Assassins|Assassin]] [[Mentor]] [[Ezio Auditore da Firenze]], who was on a journey to [[Masyaf]], from [[Athens]] to [[Cyprus]]. During this journey the [[Piracy|pirate]] [[Al-Scarab]], who had attacked the [[Anaan|previous ship]] Ezio had been travelling aboard, was forced to work as an oarmen before being released.
