	Praxilla is based on a real poet(or poets: see wikipedia) of the same name: Praxilla of Sicyon, who was considered equal to some of the most famous poets of her time. She performed often at Athens. Of her work eight fragments survived. One of them is the poem that is part of a quest. It was, according to Zenobius, at the time considered as a proverb for silliness: sillier than Praxilla’s Adonis.
