			In her youth, Nirmala watched as her village was decimated by the [[British Rite of the Templar Order\|British Templars]]. Angered, she found an opportunity and killed two of the Order's soldiers before being apprehended. However, [[Black Cross]] [[Eamon Hathaway]] was impressed and offered her to train her under his tutelage. She accepted and soon worked her way up the ranks in the Order.<ref name="Nirmala DB"/>

			On 13 November 1578, Nirmala joined her mentor on their journey to [[China]] and came upon the [[Beijing]] Synod. Although they caught sight of [[Shao Jun]], they could not find an opportunity to kill her. However, they soon learned from a conversation between her and a scholar about a possible "[[Isu temple\|temple]]" in [[Japan]]. Thus, Nirmala managed to seclude the scholar and kill him while Eamon recovered his notes about the symbols to find and hoped to find his goal: [[The Observatory]]. 			By 1582, Nirmala and Eamon soon found passage to [[Macau]] before finding captain [[Yang]] to take them to Japan. For a little more than two months, both Black Crosses secured their voyage, even dispatching of a [[Piracy\|pirate]] attack with ease. When they neared Japan's coast, Yang crashed the ship on the shores of [[Iseji Trails]] in [[Kii]]. Nevertheless, Eamon and Nirmala made their way across the region and searched for any information about the temple.<ref name="DoubleCrossed"/>

When he revealed about the plans about the Observatory, Nirmala loosed an [[arrow]] and killed the captain. Being spotted, she tried to run but Naoe threw a ''[[kunai]]'' and wounded the Black Cross. Tracking her down, the pair came upon her holding a young [[Hana\|girl]]'s [[Tsuyoshi\|father]] hostage. 			With the pair on their trail, Nirmala and her mentor continued on their investigation, which led them to meet with [[Kane]] and [[Kinu]], who unwittingly gave them information about the [[Wakasa Temple\|secret temple]] in Wakasa, the riddle scrolls, and how Yasuke carried the keystone. As a gift, they were gifted a wooden [[elephant]]. They later tracked Naoe and Yasuke to the shores where they arrived. When Naoe dove into the waters to inspect for any clues, Nirmala used this opportunity and attacked Yasuke. However, Yasuke ultimately disarmed her and held by the throat. Fortunately, Eamon joined her and then fought against the [[samurai]]. Wearing him down, they managed to severely wound him before taking the keystone from him. Before Eamon could kill him, Nirmala convinced him to leave Yasuke for dead as a distraction. Agreeing, Eamon left with Nirmala for the temple.<ref name="DoubleCrossed"/>

			====Death====
			Finding all the glyphs, Nirmala joined her mentor and opened the [[Temple (Isu)\|temple]]. Inside, they investigated the vault and found a statue of [[Kassandra]], of whom Eamon knew about. While Nirmala saw the room full of trash, Eamon looked further and pushed the statue down. Noticing a keyhole, he used the keystone and opened a secret compartment. With this revelation, both Black Crosses headed down, further into the temple. While investigating, Nirmala sensed something off. Soon, she caught sight of Naoe and her fellow Kakushiba ''ikki'' member [[Rufino]]. Thus, she stayed to engage while Eamon pursued his lead.<ref name="BuriedSecrets"/>

			Giving them a chase, Nirmala managed to have Naoe engage her by herself. Fighting against the ''[[Ninja\|shinobi]]'', she called out for Eamon but was bested by her. Losing her ''yari'', Eamon soon joined her while she asked if he found the Observatory. Angry, he stated it was not here and that their real goal is clean up the mess in front of them. Together, they fought against Naoe and overwhelmed her. On her knees, Eamon readied his sword to execute Naoe but Yasuke appeared and rushed him to the ground.<ref name="BuriedSecrets"/>

			Surprised of Yasuke's survival, Nirmala nearly killed Naoe but was shot by Rufino. Still standing strong, Nirmala threatened Rufino but was instantly killed by Naoe. Bleeding out, she was held by Eamon before succumbing to her wounds. In response, Eamon donned his true attire and attacked both Naoe and Yasuke. However, he was ultimately killed as well, ending the Black Crosses' goals of finding the Observatory. Afterwards, the trio left the temple after acquiring Nirmala's [[Queen Cobra\|''katana'']], [[Nirmala's Headwrap\|headwrap]], and her [[Nirmala's Robes\|robes]] from her personal effects.<ref name="BuriedSecrets"/>
