The '''New England Hunting Society''' was a [[hunting]] club founded in 1770 [[United States|British America]]. A number of trappers who earned their living in the [[frontier]], including [[Simon Girty]], had the idea to have a network of cabins that would act as a safe haven and warm place to rest for those who spent the season trapping in area.
