While working to remove [[Templars|Templar]] [[Kimura Yukari]] from her seat of power over the island of [[Awaji]], Yasuke and fellow [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] member [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] sought to eliminate Yukari's three ''taishō'', including her ambusher [[Nowaki]].<ref>''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]] – [[Claws of Awaji]]''</ref> After drawing her out at [[Sannomiya Shrine]], using her [[Suma|sister]]'s necklace as a bargaining chip, the pair was led into a [[Hidden Swamp|swamp]], where she took up a sniping position as she began shooting at the pair with her [[firearm]].
