In 1871, Lambert worked as the host and butler of the Château Aarden to [[Austrian Rite of the Templar Order|Austrian Templar]] Countess [[Konstanze von Visler]] and her frequent guest, the [[British Brotherhood of Assassins|British Assassin]] [[Simeon Price]]. For the next two years, he catered to both Konstanze and her guests, who were either Price or her fellow Templars.<ref name="CH20">''[[Assassin's Creed: The Engine of History – The Resurrection Plot]]'' – Chapter 20</ref> In the summer of 1873, Lambert was tasked by the Templars, who stated that Konstanze and Simeon's relationship had run its course, to kill Simeon.
