With no other choice, Cadmus took a lit torch and pressed on, finding more torches, as well as ladders already in place and the remains of a campsite, evidence that they'd been here for some time at that point. Eventually, Cadmus came upon a flat wall marked with symbols and notches and figured out that he could place torches in those slots, unlocking it to reveal a dark stone entrance.
