In 1582, the [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] members [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] and [[Yasuke]] broke into the temple grounds and found [[Koshiro]] nearly beaten and killed by [[Seiji]]. When they intervened, they fought against Seiji and bested him in combat. Realizing that Seiji followed [[Bessho Harumasa]]'s cause, Koshiro gave the pair the decision to decide Seiji's life. The pair decided to spare Seiji due to his friendship with Koshiro. However, Seiji left and renounced his friendship to Koshiro, who said his final goodbye.
