Jason was inspired by a real-life man of a couple who were fans of the series and became friends with Creative Director [[Ashraf Ismail]]. In return, the characters and the corresponding memory were tributed to them, as Jason was diagnosed with bowel cancer and was widowed after Paola died from an illness.
