==History==
In 1585, the [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] member and [[Iga]]n ''[[Ninja|shinobi]]'' [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] infiltrated the guarded shrine with a disguise of both a black mask and a black kosode. Within the shrine, she sought and was able to find the [[Japanese Rite of the Templar Order|Japanese Templar]] and [[Kimura Yukari]]'s spymaster [[Yasuhira]] talking to his spies, albeit disguised. Wanting an audience alone with him, Naoe was tasked to find any intel that may be of worth. Naoe soon learned that her mother [[Fujibayashi Tsuyu]] and their [[Sumoto Kakurega|safehouse]] were discovered. Thus, she went towards Yasuhira and then gave false information about Tsuyu being in [[Yura]]. Intrigued, Yasuhira offered to speak with Naoe alone in a residence left of the shrine.<ref name="A Snake in the Shrine">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]] – [[Claws of Awaji]]'' – [[A Snake in the Shrine]]</ref>

Together, Naoe and Yasuhira were alone as they discussed methods of [[assassination]]. When Yasuhira neared closer, Naoe slapped him and took off his mask, revealing him to be the fake contact he met in Sumoto. When Naoe revealed herself, Yasuhira was impressed while he chastized her about how her mother spent time tortured under him and [[Nowaki]]. While he readied his ''[[tantō]]'', Naoe managed to dodge his attack and swiftly killed him, ending his spy work for Yukari. Before leaving, Naoe recovered both a spare ''tantō'' [[The Last Resort]] and a note detailing his escape from Awaji and his thoughts on Yukari's downfall.<ref name="A Snake in the Shrine"/>
