However, these memories' accompanying [[Niccolò Machiavelli's journal\|journal]] entry describes the events as occurring shortly after Ezio and [[Mario Auditore]] presented the Apple of Eden to Machiavelli with the idea to send it to Forlì, which canonically occurred in 1488. Reinforcing this inconsistency is the fact the [[Battle of Forlì]] happens soon after in the memory sequence, when canonically it also took place in 1488. Interestingly, the dates of the memories are no longer shown in-game.
