After his arrest on 13 October 1307, the last [[Grand Master]] of the [[Templars|Knight Templars]] and [[Sage]] [[Jacques de Molay]] still held onto the [[Heart|Heart of Eden]] as to part it from its [[Sword of Eden 1|Sword of Eden]]. While imprisoned at the Courday Tower within the château, de Molay hid the Heart in his dungeon&amp;#039;s wall and left drawings for those who looked for it in the future.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Assassin&amp;#039;s Creed: Heresy]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — Chapter 25&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

On 6 March 1429, [[Jeanne d&amp;#039;Arc]], accompanied by her entourage of [[Gabriel Laxart]], [[Jean de Metz]], and [[Bertrand de Poulengy]], arrived at the château to find and speak with King Charles VII, whom Jeanne refered as the &amp;quot;Dauphin.&amp;quot; Making their way to the king&amp;#039;s hall,&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Assassin&amp;#039;s Creed: Heresy]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — Chapter 8&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; Jeanne was able to find the king using her &amp;quot;[[Eagle Vision|gift]]&amp;quot; and was able to have a private meeting away from his party. Accompanied by Gabriel, Jeanne talked with the Dauphin and spoke about his future as King and how he must stay his [[The Creed|blade from the innocent]]. An angel appeared in front of both Jeanne and Gabriel, while the [[Yolande of Aragon|angel]] whispered how Jeanne will make Charles king.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Assassin&amp;#039;s Creed: Heresy]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — Chapter 9&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

The following day, while the group sparred with each other in one of the courtyards, they were later informed of [[Antoine Moreau]]&amp;#039;s death and how Jeanne predicted his death when she spoke to him. Meanwhile, Gabriel was initially asked by Jean about what he saw during the meeting but remained silent about it. Within moments, Gabriel was knocked out and brought by Metz to his [[Mentor]] as they discussed helping Jeanne as best they can. Confused, Gabriel was informed about their [[Assassin-Templar War|war]] against the Templars and how to keep his promise to protect Jeanne.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Assassin&amp;#039;s Creed: Heresy]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — Chapter 10&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

When Gabriel agreed, he was released and was told they were in the dungeon that held de Molay. Alone, he and Metz tried to read de Molay&amp;#039;s drawing with Gabriel&amp;#039;s Eagle vision but to no success. Nonetheless, Jean gave him his [[Hidden Blade|hidden blade]] while Gabriel asked how to use it. Afterwards, they went outside to meet with Jeanne, who was practicing her jousting. After her training, they were met by the Dauphin and [[John II of Alençon|Jean II d&amp;#039;Alençon]]. Offering gifts, Jeanne replied and said her sword was to be found at [[Sainte-Catherine-de-Fierbois]]. Gabriel and de Metz asked to retrieve the sword for her and she accepted the proposal.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Assassin&amp;#039;s Creed: Heresy]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; — Chapter 11&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; At some point, Jeanne also finds the location of the Heart in Courday Tower and put it into a pouch around her neck along with her family ring.
