So long as we are only ever going to have appearances appear on the actual page, no worries on avoiding subpages. Subpages should only be used to prevent double-documentation by allowing multiple pages to transclude the same content into their own source.

I'll leave it up to the community on side memories -- it's a question of verbosity in the timeline. I think main memories might be easier.

For the timeline project, if we include side memories, it might be nice to have pages like "AC1 timeline", "Syndicate Timeline", etc. and then transclude them into one larger overall timeline, so that folks on limited or slow data connections don't have to load and re-transmit the entire thing for edits. My two cents.
