			In 1780, [[George Washington]] called upon Connor to meet him in [[New York City\|New York]], where he disclosed that the [[Culper Ring]] had uncovered the presence of [[United Kingdom\|British]] spies at West Point, believed to be there to murder the fort's commander, Major General Benedict Arnold. Washington asked Connor to investigate the matter, fearing that the loss of Arnold would be a major blow to the [[Patriots\|Patriot]] cause, and the [[Assassins\|Assassin]] reluctantly accepted. However, still bitter over the [[Broken Trust\|revelation]] of Washington's involvement in his mother [[Kaniehtí:io]]'s death, Connor warned the Commander-in-Chief that this was the last favor he would do for him.

			At West Point, Connor identified and assassinated all four British spies, killing the last one right in front of Arnold. As the commander questioned his actions, Connor revealed his secret mission from Washington, after which Arnold requested the Assassin's help, allegedly to bolster the fort's defenses in the event of a British attack. However, the nature of Arnold's orders seemed to contradict this, as Connor was instructed to escort a group of soldiers who shipped half of West Point's [[gunpowder]] supply away from the fort.

			While doing so, Connor apprehended a deserting soldier attempting to flee, and later returned to Arnold, who was meeting with an officer named [[John André\|John Anderson]]. After Arnold ordered the Assassin to carry several powder kegs to the fort's magazine, he spoke of a secret plan with Anderson. [[Eavesdropping]] on the conversation, Connor found the discussion suspicious and decided to tail Anderson, who changed out of his [[Continental Army]] uniform and into a British one.

			As he attempted to leave West Point, Anderson was stopped by several soldiers, who were about to shoot him until Connor intervened and advised the guards to search the spy first. The soldiers found a letter to British Lieutenant-General [[Henry Clinton]], in which Arnold offered to surrender the fort to the Redcoats for the sum of twenty thousand pounds. While Anderson was arrested, Connor went to confront Arnold over his treachery. Upon being shown the letter, the Major General denied the accusation of betraying the Continental Army, claiming it was a British plot to ruin his reputation.

			At that moment, however, West Point came under attack by Redcoats, forcing Connor to leave Arnold and help the Continental soldiers defend the fort. Thanks to the timely arrival of Washington's army, the British forces were ultimately repelled, but Arnold took advantage of the confusion to board a [[ship]] and sail away. As Connor and Washington both observed Arnold's escape, the latter lamented the situation, questioning whom they could trust now if Patriot heroes were betraying them.
