While all of Ireland soon learned of Abbot Eogan's treachery,<ref name="AScourgingofSnakes"/> Flann held a council meeting of kings at [[King's Land]] at [[Durrow]] to discuss the situation with the [[druid]]s. Initially, they all agreed to an inquistion of the druids into conversion or exile. Betrayed, poetess [[Ciara ingen Medba]] went to activate the [[Lia Fáil]] but not before Flann and Eivor came to convince her not to do so. In a series of fight, Eivor managed to best Ciara and saw the Lia Fáil destroyed.
