Realizing Sukuna intends for them to be killed, Nagamasa tells his men that the time has come for them to switch allegiances.

			In the village, [[Xialun Qing]] gives Edward the medicinal herbs she managed to gather, easing his pain and allowing him to fight again. Spotting smoke from the explosion in the distance, Saito realizes the battle on the beach was more intense than they had hoped and tells Edward and Qing that they need to go help Yun and the others. Just then, however, Nagamasa and his men arrive at the village, wishing to speak with Saito.

			Nagamasa again asks the [[samurai]] how much she is willing to pay them for their services, to which Saito promises that, if they succeed in their goal to overthrow the [[Shimazu clan]], all of its resources would be put at their disposal. As two Shimazu ninja come to confront Nagamasa for disobeying Sukuna's orders, the captain kills them with his sword and decides to accept Saito's offer.
