The Cantonese ninja prepare to fight the deserters, but both factions are interrupted by [[Madam Lee]] and her men, who have come to steal the [[opium]] shipment. As the ninja engage in battle with Lee's men, Edward continues his fight against Saito and her bodyguards in the [[gunpowder]] room. He manages to escape after tossing one of the ninja into the other, although Saito vows to make the [[Assassins\|Assassin]] pay for the humiliation he made her endure. Upon being informed by one of her men of the situation on deck, Saito declares this to be a lost battle and orders a retreat.

	As the suviving ninja make their escape, Edward notices Lee's men carrying crates of opium off the ship and attempts to stop them. Lee orders him to get out of the way or he will be branded an enemy, to which Edward responds by shooting a lantern, causing burning oil to spill and set off a nearby firework. This signals Edward to leap off the ship before a cannonball hits the deck.
