Suspecting that the [[Dutch East India Company]] has been paid off given their ignoring of the attack on Lee's ship, Edward decides to keep ~~the captain~~ as their prisoner rather than hand him over to the authorities. Upon returning to [[Zhang (laborer)\|Zhang]]'s [[Zhang's village\|village]], Edward and John imprison ~~the captain~~ inside a guarded warehouse and discuss their next course of action.
