Moments later, a gunshot narrowly misses Nathan's head, hitting a [[lantern]]. Nathan orders his men to get Noa out of the [[Animus]] and prepares to fight against their assailants, only to be caught off-guard when two [[Abyss Walkers]] drop from the roof.

	Suddenly, Noa awakens and fires his [[Phantom Blade]] at one of the Abyss Walkers, then incapacitates the other with his {{Wiki\|electric shock baton}} bracer. After Nathan thanks him for saving his life, an annoyed Noa remarks that Nathan should've been the one looking after him, not the other way around. The Assassin claims that the attack caught him by surprise, but now he is ready to fight alongside Noa. With that, the two exit their cabin and quickly dispatch all the Sigma Team operatives outside; Nathan shooting them with his [[pistol]] while Noa subdues them with his bracer. 			==Plot synopsis==
			While [[Zhang (Macanese)\|Zhang]] and [[Mustafa\|Rupiya]] go around [[Jakarta\|Batavia]] looking for seafarers to recruit to the [[Zhawang Corporation\|Zhang Wei Union]]'s cause, [[Edward Kenway]], [[Shimazu Saito]], and [[Jan van Aert]] head to a [[tavern]] frequented by [[Piracy\|pirates]]. Immediately, Edward kicks over a table and addresses all the patrons, informing them that their way of life is being threatened by factions seeking to rob them of their hard-earned freedom. He then declares that he will not let tyranny triumph and asks who will stand by his side.

			All the pirates raise their cups and cheer for Edward while the [[Assassins\|Assassin]] continues his speech, claiming that life without liberty is not worth living and that together they will fight to safeguard [[human]]ity's free will.
