John then kicks Saito overboard and flees with the [[Lantern (Piece of Eden)\|artifact]], which he kept hidden on his person the entire time. Left dangling from a rope, Saito curses John and is approached by [[Nagamasa]], who informs her of the Company fleet's attack. Reluctantly, Saito decides to abandon her pursuit of John and instructs Nagamasa and his crew to retreat alongside the ''Fenghuang''.
