As Naoe went higher up to the temple, she pondered over the thought of recruiting Shotei's daughter.

As she reached the top, she found a group of soldiers looking for Katsuhime. As the soldiers attacked Naoe, Katsuhime appeared and provided cover from above the pagodas.

Naoe and Yasuke protected Shotei from ronin hired by the Akechi clan before heading off to Enryakuji to find Shotei's daughter. They tried to convince Katsuhime to help them fight, which she replied she would consider.
