I think an AC game in the Civil War would be cool. You could explore the American Midwest, explore the Appalachians, revisit mid-1800s versions of cities visited in ACIII, and venture between Northern Territory. Some say a war conflict in AC will bring more open battles than stealth missions, ruining the games. Actually the game could have something like, straying away from battles so you won't desynchronize. Like in ACIII they limited battles well enough. Yes, I know guns will take the place of blades in a game like this. So what, there are lots of bayonets. Blades are bloodier than bullets. Look how bloody the American Civil War got. Playable zones would go from New York down to Florida, to the northern coastal area of the Gulf of Mexico, including midwest frontiers, Dakota territory and as far west as Texas. Unlike ACIV, this could be a more land-based game, although there are battles in Florida and along the Mississippi or other frontier rivers. Native Americans will indeed be contacted. This area is perfect for hunting. Confederate states would be Templar-controlled states, with Assassin's backing the North. Maybe Templars could also be within the Union. General S. Grant would be the George Washington of the game, with Confederate Gen. Lee the perfect front-line Templar (I think my History teacher said he was related to Charles Lee, a Templar in ACIII). The assassin would be a Kenway, or a new family line related to it. Maybe he will be an escaped slave along the Undergorund Railroad (maybe meet Harriet Tubman), or an indentured servant. You could increase the use of a rope dart, or replace with a lasso (cowboy style, (; ), or maybe an Indiana Jones whip, and have six shooters, knives of course, revive ACII's hidden gun. Maybe you can use wine bottles, not as a carry-on, but a weapon you can pick up. Like Freedom Cry, you will be able to free slaves by assassinating their overseers. This time you could even try out an attack dog. Maybe you have to use sleep darts on a plantation guard dog so it won't alarm the rest of the plantation, or some guards. You could have a gunfire dodge function, like an awesome ninja slow-motion eagle vision to detect bullets, kinda like how jedi sense laser-fire with the Force. One idea I had was an indentured servant, a Kenway, who became a servant when his family left him in the orphanage, and all he has is a necklace given to him from his mom, which is a Piece of Eden. His friend would be a slave under harsh treatment. The slave's mother would also be a slave. They both share the same dreams on the same night (some First Civilization person). One day an agent from the underground railroad leaves a note to the slave boy (You know what, lets call 'im Joe and the servant Bob), while pretending to buy produce. So with the help of Bob, Joe and his mom escape. However, they hear dog noises and yelling overseers. The go to a river where the agent is waiting, and Bob does a leap of faith into the river, though the slaves are captured. Joe's mom goes into furious mom-mode and punches the guy who holds her, grabs his pistol and shoots another guy before and shouting at her kid to leap. the last overseer shoots Joe's mom. They escape to some Northern State (New York, PA, MA), and stay there. They go and buy clothes for Joe to replace his slave rags. However a pickpocket steals their remaining money, and you have to chase him assassin style. But he throws your money into a river, (too bad). Joe wants to beat him up but Bob lets go and he escapes. So with no money they have to sell Bob's Eden necklace. But before they pawn it for a bargain a guy who is actually a Templar agrees to buy it for a better price. However right when the Templar is about to walk away with his prize, and assassin does an air-assassination, and steals it. Both boys run after the assassin. Bob uses his inherited eagle vision and derives a shortcut to intercept him. They catch up to the assassin and Joe tackles him with Bob following. They wrestle and the assassin is about to stab Bob until he recognizes his face. ~DanChan123 17:49, January 10, 2013
