==Biography==
In 1862, Shaw was Police Constable 72 of Covent Garden's F Division, and was assigned to investigate the murders of [[Boot (thief)|Boot]] and a little girl. Due to a witness' description of a robed man that Shaw could not locate, he became target of jokes among the other cops. One day, while sulking in a bar, he was approached by Abberline, whose case also had to do with the mysterious man. Together, they returned to the slums and found another witness to a [[Robert Waugh|man]] fleeing the scene, one that matched the description of the body of Abberline's investigation.<ref name="Chapter 25">''Assassin's Creed: Underworld'' – Chapter 25</ref>
