==Biography==
In 862, Aban visited [[Alamut]] to meet with [[Mentor]] [[Rayhan]]. During their meeting, Aban said that the Tahirids were being pressured by "[[Order of the Ancients|forces]] within the [[Abbasid Caliphate|Caliphate]]" and that if the [[Hidden Ones]] continued to support the [[Zanj Rebellion|Zanj rebels]], the Tahirids could not assure them protection from the Caliphate's response.
