Since her childhood, Zhangsun Qi had been trained in martial arts by her mentor, the [[Princess of Gaochang]]. At the age of 16, she was assigned the critical quest of finding and securing the [[Tui Bei Tu]] (推背圖), which was reputedly a powerful [[Piece of Eden]]. In the process of accomplishing this mission, she found herself dragged into the centre of a [[Assassin-Templar War|great conspiracy]] when Zhangsun Wuji attempted to manipulate her into [[Assassination|assassinating]] Empress [[Wu Zetian]].<ref name="JadeSeal" />
