Though not directly a [[Templars|Templar]], Heselrig was a close associate and assisted the [[Lann Fala]] after the [[Capture of Berwick (1296)|massacre at Berwick]]. As part of [[William Wallace]]'s [[Action of Lanark|plans]], Heselrig was killed by Wallace and [[James of Crannach]].<ref name = "Chapter 29"/>
