'''Ujimasa''' was a [[Japan|Japanese]] monk at [[Kiyomizudera Temple]] in southeastern [[Yamashiro]] during the 16th century.

==Biography==
A friend of [[Ise Sadatame]], the head of the Ise clan, Ujimasa was a former [[samurai]] who served as a guard at [[Yamazaki Castle]]. After Sadatame's younger brother [[Ise Sadaoki]] poisoned and seized power from him in 1582, the castle became his stronghold. Believing that his allyship with Sadatame would bring him danger, Ujimasa fled from the castle to Kiyomizudera Temple, where took up employment as a monk to hide from Sadaoki's [[soldier]]s. Because of his knowledge of the castle grounds stemming from his former occupation, Sadatame sent the [[Iga]] ''[[Ninja|kunoichi]]'' [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] and samurai [[Yasuke]] to him.<ref name="The Bad Brother">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[The Bad Brother]]</ref>

The two sought Ujimasa's help in getting into the castle, so that they could enter and eliminate Sadaoki. The monk, however, was distrustful and thus ask them to prove their trustworthiness by helping him eliminate a [[Takahashi clan|group]] of rogue samurai in [[Kyoto]]. Naoe and Yasuke agreed to do so and returned some time later.
