'''Thor Thorsson''' was the son of the [[Vikings|Viking]] ''[[wikt:drengr|drengr]]'' [[Thor the Fish Monger]] and the [[Anglo-Saxons|Saxon]] woman Æthelswig.

His father came to [[England]] as part of [[Ragnar Lothbrok]]'s [[Great Heathen Army]], but chose to settle down with Æthelswig and become a fisherman. In the 870s, Thor was out fishing with his father and listened while he talked about awaiting only a proper death. Thor's father fought the [[shieldmaiden]] [[Eivor Varinsdottir]] in ritual combat and was killed while he watched.
