By 1558, the Japanese Brotherhood sent Akira to the {{Wiki|Owari Province}} in order to recover a [[Piece of Eden]] in the possession of [[João Machado]], a member of the [[Templar Order]] and right hand man of [[Gaspar Vilela]]. Akira and Mochizuki boarded João's ship and dispatched the Portuguese guards, allowing Akira to get close to João and promptly assassinate him. As more guards arrived to clash against Akira, Mochizuki recovered the Piece of Eden during the commotion and managed to escape as the ship exploded, leaving Akira's fate unknown.<ref name="ACRPG" />
