The disciple waked up to see that their [[Jade Spring|village]] was being attacked by a group of soldiers.

==Dialogue==
''Woken up by screams, you rush out of your house to see Jade Spring Village burning at the hands of [[Qin dynasty|Qin]] soldiers in purple uniforms. You rush forward, looking for [[Chu Huan]] and hoping to save whoever you can.''

The ''[[youxia]]'' killed a few troops. They hear an [[interrogation]] taking place around the corner.

*'''Qin soldier 1:''' ''Tell us where the [[Yangzhou Palace treasure|treasure]] is!''

She spotted a row of three villagers taken prisoner by a Qin soldier. He executed the third one just before the ''youxia'' is able to reach him.

They killed the soldier from behind and proceeded deeper into the village, stealthily eliminating more prowling soldiers along the way.

The ''youxia'' entered Chu Huan's house, finding it empty with its rear exit blocked by furniture.

They moved it out of the way and exited the house just in time to see a soldier finishing [[Ji Wei]] off.

The soldier started walking over to his two comrades near a fire, close to several imprisoned civilians, but the''youxia'' killed all the three of them, freeing the villagers, who flee for their lives.

[[Wei Yu]]'s disciple then approached Yu Ying's house.
*'''Wei Yu's disciple:''' ''That's her house. I hope I'm not too late.<br />I need to get rid of these soldiers.''
A soldier outside Yu Ying's house threatened the occupants inside.

The ''youxia'' killed all the soldiers in the vicinity. The people sheltering inside opened the door for them. Inside, the ''youxia'' found Yu Ying tending to one of the injured.
*'''Yu Ying:''' ''You're here! Chu Huan went ahead to the main hall, you have to help him!''
*'''Wei Yu's disciple:''' ''Get the rest to safety. We'll reconvene at your safe house. Leave Chu Huan to me.''
They broke the latch of the house's back exit and left for the village's main hall, where Chu Huan was outside embroiled in a skirmish with five purple-uniformed soldiers, one of them a great axeman. Together, the two ''youxia'' vanquish the group of enemies.
*'''Chu Huan:''' ''You made it. These Qin soldiers seem to be after something in the warehouse.''

The pair entered the warehouse and inspected its contents, with the disciple checking the shelf where they had placed the treasure [[Homecoming (Jade)|earlier]].

They then followed their friend down a staircase to the lower level, which led into a tunnel.

The tunnel led into a large room. The siblings passed through a crack in one of the walls to reach a cave.

*'''Wei Yu's disciple:''' ''She's bringing the rest to safety. We agreed to meet at her safe house.''

The two leave the cave by stepping through a waterfall.

''As you step through the waterfall, the [[Yang Duanhe|enemy commander]] descends upon you, blade drawn. Chu Huan throws you aside and gets impaled in your stead. Numerous purple-clad Qin soldiers appear around you, forcing you to run, leaving the lifeless eyes of your sworn brother behind and the face of his murderer burned into your memory.''

==Outcome==
Jade Spring was assaulted by an army of Qin soldiers in retaliation for the ''youxia''{{'}}s theft of a treasure from Yangzhou Palace the previous day. The casualties on both sides are heavy, with Chu Huan and his sworn sibling killing most of the immediate attackers, but the former ultimately died saving his sibling's life from the Qin commander. The survivors fled their village.
