'''Shorin''' was a [[Japan|Japanese]] ''[[sōhei]]'' who operated in the {{Wiki|Kansai region}} of [[Japan]] during the late 16th century

A master in wielding the [[naginata]], Shorin traveled around the region teaching {{Wiki|kata}} to willing learners. While based at Kuya Falls in the west of [[Yamashiro]], Shorin was sought out by the [[samurai]] [[Yasuke]], who accepted a ''kata'' lesson to master the naginata. After moving to Kannabiyama in the northeast of [[Izumi Settsu]], Shorin was sought out again by Yasuke, who received another ''kata'' lesson from the ''sohei'' master.<ref name="ACSH">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]''</ref>
