On 12 March, while Jeanne was staying with the family of [[Jean Rabateau]], Gabriel and de Metz arrived with her sword. [[John II of Alençon|Jean d'Alençon]] was also present, having stayed with Jeanne in that time. In its newly crafted sheath, Gabriel handed Jeanne the sword which glowed at her touch.
