'''Annis''' was an [[Anglo-Saxons|Anglo-Saxon]] woman who lived in late 9th century [[Leicestershire|Ledecestrescire]], [[England]].

At some point, Annis became acquainted with [[Tarquin]]. She convinced him to roleplay a [[thegn]] keeping her prisoner in a tower. Annis' cries caught the attention of [[Vikings|Viking]] [[shieldmaiden]] [[Eivor Varinsdottir]], who fought Tarquin until he yielded and left. Annis then convinced Eivor to stick around for a bit, guarding her tower, but once again her cries attracted attention, and Eivor was forced to fight passing soldiers.
