'''Mared''' (died 824) was a [[Wales|Welsh]] mercenary hired by [[Master Assassin]] [[Fuladh Al Haami]] of the [[Assassins|Hidden Ones]].

==Biography==
Recruited by Fuladh, Mared was hired to be part of a [[Fuladh's group|group]] to take part in stealing an artifact from a group called the [[Martyrs of Agaunum]]. Awaiting their employer, she joined a meeting at a meeting in [[Cairo|Fustat]]. While discussing their mission, she interrupted Fuladh through the meeting and also became closer to fellow cohort, a blackmailed [[Rome|Roman]] soldier-turned [[Piracy|pirate]] [[Dias]]. Aside from the young thief [[Roshan]], she and the other members of Fuladh instantly grab their choice of weapons and equipment given to them by their employer.<ref name="Chapter 05">''[[Assassin's Creed: Mirage – Daughter of No One]]'' — Chapter Five - Fustat, 824</ref> Beating the rest, she took the [[sword]] for herself before joining back with Dias. Whilst traveling, Mared rode with Dias while she hunted down [[hare]]s for her fellow group members. At the passage where the Martyrs were to cross, Mared took Dias alongside the other members to wait for the Martyrs. Meanwhile, [[Wei]], a [[China|Chinese]] [[Bomb Crafting|bombmaker]] looked for the signal from [[Francis]], a [[Christianity|Christian]] missionary, to activate his bombs, with [[Azadeh]] and her [[wolf]] [[Onyx]] keeping Wei company. However, the explosion was timed off and the ambush went off wrong.<ref name="Chapter 07"/> While half of the assault was stunned from the explosion, Mared, with Dias and [[Viking]] brothers [[Geir]] and [[Gud]], fought off against both the Martyrs and their guards.<ref name="Chapter 09">''[[Assassin's Creed: Mirage – Daughter of No One]]'' — Chapter Nine - Sinai Border, 824</ref>

===Death===
While fighting, Mared barely held her own against two guards. While fighting, she came to Dias' side after he calls for help. While surrounded by the Martyrs' personnel, Mared was grabbed by Dias and began to passionately kiss each other. However, while kissing, Mared was shot by an arrow while Dias held her as a human shield. Arrow after arrow, Mared was shot multilpe times until the sixth arrow proved to be fatal. Before dying, Dias told her that "love is pain" before shoving her body off him. After the assault was unsuccessful and the Martyrs fled, [[Nafanua]], a {{Wiki|Samoa}}n warrior of the group, confronted Dias while dragging Mared's body towards him. After accusing him of killing her, a divide occurred between the women and men of the group, while Wei and Francis stood to the side before joining the women. Nevertheless, putting their differences aside, they moved forward to track the Martyrs by water while leaving Mared body behind.<ref name="Chapter 09"/>

==Personality and traits==
Mared's characteristics consist of her thick Welsh accent, her pale-freckled face, and her flame-like curly hair.<ref name="Chapter 05"/> She proved herself to be a formidable in one-on-on combat<ref name="Chapter 09"/> as well as hunting.<ref name="Chapter 07"/>
