'''Li Heng''' (李亨; 711 – 762), {{wiki|temple name}} '''Suzong of Tang''' (唐肅宗), was an Emperor of the [[Tang dynasty|Tang]]. He was crown prince to his father [[Li Longji|Emperor Xuanzong]] at the outbreak of the [[An Lushan Rebellion]] and succeeded him following his abdication in 756. He took command of the Tang counter-attack but died after a short reign in 762 without seeing the eventual Tang victory.

==Biography==
In 754, [[An Lushan]] rebelled against the empire and founded the [[Yeluohe]] which scored multiple victories against the Tang army. As the rebels inched closer to the capital city of [[Chang'an]], Emperor Xuanzong made the decision to abandon the capital of [[Chang'an]] and seek refuge in [[Shu]], with Li Heng part of the entourage.<ref name="Hidden Ones Part 4">''[[Assassin's Creed: Dynasty]]'' – [[The Hidden Ones (Part 4)]]</ref>

Following a [[Mawei Station mutiny|mutiny]] that saw the deaths of Imperial consort [[Yang Yuhuan|Yang Guifei]], chancellor [[Yang Guozhong]] and the [[Golden Turtles]], the Crown Prince remained behind to care and comfort the local citizens, while Emperor Xuanzong's escort continued towards Shu.
