In 2016, [[the Crew]] took an "open house" guided tour of the facility in order to infiltrate Building 31. There they found Dr. Smith working on NASA projects at his desk, with a [[Shards of Eden|Shard of Eden]] being used as a paperweight nearby. The group managed to distract Smith and take the Shard before leaving the facility.<ref name="Benefit"/>
