'''Sir John Denham''' (1614 or 1615 – 19 March 1669), was a an Anglo-Irish poet and {{Wiki|Office of Works|Surveyor of the King's Works}}.

In 1665, Denham designed and paid for the construction of a mansion in [[Piccadilly Circus]], though he would sell the unfinished property only two years later due to the passing of his wife and his own failing health.
