In the 870s, Jason and his wife [[Paola (Mercia)|Paola]] constructed their home after their memories of their travels through lands beyond England. After they finished, Jason welcomed a traveler, the [[Vikings|Viking]] [[shieldmaiden]] [[Eivor Varinsdottir]] into their home. ==Behind the scenes==
Jason was inspired by a real-life man of a couple who were fans of the series and became friends with Creative Director [[Ashraf Ismail]]. In return, the characters and the corresponding memory were tributed to them, as Jason was diagnosed with bowel cancer and was widowed after Paola died from an illness.
