==Biography==
By 1582, Fernam Moreno joined a silver-smuggling operation under the leader [[Mai]]. Supplied with [[Slavery|slaves]] and meeting with [[bandit]]s, Moreno showcased his [[Arquebus|''teppō'']] to his potential buyers at [[Fukuchiyama Castle]]. However, the [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] members [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] and [[Yasuke]] met with Lord [[Hosokawa Fujitaka]], who asked for help to dismantle the silver-smuggling ring from his court.<ref name="Silver Smugglers">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[The Silver Smugglers]]</ref> 

Following a clue from [[Shinji]]'s personal effects, they acquired Moreno's location at Fukuchiyama Castle. There, they discovered a monstrous demonstration of slaves dead from his ''teppō'' and ultimately assassinated him. They then recovered a message from Moreno's fellow cohort [[Enju]] to discuss business at [[Yakami Castle]] and acquired the ''teppō'', [[The Trading Seal]], from his personal effects.<ref name="Silver Smugglers"/>
